The Mission City Outlaws are thrilled to announce the following two additions to our Hockey Operations Staff for the upcoming season:

Denis Pederson has been hired as our Head Coach. Denis was a first round NHL Draft pick in 1993 and played a total of 435 games in the NHL with Vancouver, New Jersey, Phoenix and Nashville. After his playing days in the NHL, he went on to have successful years playing with Eisbären Berlin in Germany in the Deutsche Eishockey League. He spent his junior career with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. “Denis is, first and foremost, a first-class person. We are gaining someone who has played over 400 NHL games, and experience that comes along with that is invaluable. He has had a ton of on ice success and boasts strong leadership and communication skills. His strong work ethic, team-first approach and hockey acumen, along with his vision and style make him the right person to restore a winning culture around our organization” – Scott Farrell, GM

Joey Monette has taken on the role of Director of Hockey Operations. Joey played professional football from 1993-2000, and most recently in the role as a BC Scout for the Coquitlam Express in the BCHL for the last 3 years. He has experience working with all levels of hockey from Minor to the BCHL and is deeply connected in the hockey world across North America. His focus will be on player development, recruiting and driving our athletes to the next level. “We are an organization that cares deeply about instituting a winning culture and Joey understands how to get us there and keep us there. It is an exciting time for the Outlaws organization and the addition of Joey’s passion, leadership skills and focus on player development completely aligns with our vision for the future” – Scott Farrell, GM

Please join me in welcoming both Denis and Joey to the Outlaws organization!
