OUTLAWS BACK IN THE WIN COLUMN
Saturday night the Mission City Outlaws faced off against the North Vancouver Wolf Pack for the 3rd meeting of the season and the 3rd game of this 5 game road trip for the Outlaws.
Outlaws were in search of a much stronger start than the one they had on Thursday nightin Surrey and boy oh boy did the fellas come to work as they outshot the Wolf Pack 25 – 7 in the opening frame. Some stellar goaltending from North Van goaltender Marcus Taylor kept this one scoreless after 1 period.
It didn’t take long in the middle frame for Mission City to find the back of the net and open the scoring as Brayden Candy got his first of the season. North Van would score on the powerplay to tie things up but Cade Peden would pounce on a loose puck in the Wolf Pack crease to give the Outlaws the lead going into the final frame. Nolan Windt tallied his first PJHL point with an assist on the Peden goal.
Colton Collard would get the Outlaws the much needed insurance goal, notching his 17th of the season and extending his goal scoring streak to 12 games. Cooper Crowe would send the puck into the empty net from his own zone to secure the 4-1 victory for the Outlaws.
Next up for the Outlaws is a date with the Port Moody Panthers on Sunday Oct 26 at 5:15pmat the Port Moody Arena.
